Artist Statement

The inspiration for my digital work comes from challenge. I want the creation to be challenging to create, and I want my creation to challenge the viewer. In my work I break down peoples desires and values and turn them on their head, in order to shock and disturb viewers. The day my art stops provoking people is the day my images lose their power. Much of my sculpture work stems from my education as an engineer. I like to find established mechanical designs and re-imagine them with a retro-futuristic Rube Goldbergian flair.
